Barbara Webb was interested in all forms of printmaking. She has 3 screenprints in the Government Art Collection. She took part in Art in Action in 2009, where she demonstrated etching. In addition to being a co-founder with Annette Lewin of Camden Printmakers she has been an active member of the Gloucestershire Printmaking Cooperative.
We are very sorry to have to bring you the news of the passing of long time member and friend of the GPC Barbara Webb.
Barbara was a staunch and generous supporter of the GPC over many years and was always keen to promote us in any way that she could.
A talented and passionate printmaker she was regularly found working at her small studio in Woodchester. She was also co-founder of Camden Printmakers in London, travelling there to work, teach and arrange exhibitions of the group and also organise exhibitions for the ‘Art for Hospitals’ movement at the Royal Free and University College Hospitals. Some years ago a group of GPC printmakers were invited to join one of these events.
We have lost a good friend and will remember her with gratitude and affection
