Marie Franks studied art at Camden Institute where she learned etching with Peter Freeth and then went on to the University of Hertfordshire. She also spent several painting holidays at the St.Ives School of Painting and worked with some of the St.Ives painters. She has taken part in several exhibitions and had a solo exhibition in the Tavistock Clinic Library Corridor. She has had etchings exhibited in the Mall Gallery and the R.A. Summer Exhibition.
