Jean Dollimore started etching in 2001 and since that time, has studied in classes taught by Peter Freeth and John Roberts. She is particularly interested in looking for patterns and colours that appear both in the natural world and in artefacts made by people; for example tree trunks in a wood or windows on a building. In 2005 she used patterns from Islamic art as a source. But more recently, she has returned to studying places and buildings in London.
