Jim has emerged from an early career in photography in the 1960s and has been painting and drawing all his life.  Jim has studied etching and printmaking at the Westminster Kingsway College for 5 years under Peter Freeth RA. Jim has exhibited at the South of England Open Chichester, the Mall Galleries (National Print Show), St. Johns Smith Square, The Gallery Mayfair, and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions.  I work very much in monochrome through the use of the aquatint etching process.  My interest lies in landscape and I am especially interested in the abstract and monumental nature of landscape.  I continue to travel the British Isles both in search of and also to record the qualities of the landscape both rural and coastal.
